What readers say

Students who used the guides.

I rewrote my personal statement using the structure in Getting Into Imperial and finally had something that sounded like an engineer, not a brochure. Offer came in January.

The internship guide was the first thing that explained online assessments properly. I stopped guessing, practised the right things, and converted my first assessment centre.

Navigating Uni Life saved my first term. The section on picking societies that actually build your CV changed how I spent my time.

About

Advice from inside the system, not around it.

I'm a current engineering student at Imperial College London. I've completed four internships, earned over £30,000 during my degree, and interviewed more than 1,000 UK students for my content and research.

Alongside that I've built an audience of more than 11,000 students across TikTok and Instagram, spanning every major UK university. That means the advice here isn't one person's anecdote: it's patterns. Every guide draws on a rolling survey of 1,000+ students at 40+ UK universities — including 300+ at Oxbridge, Imperial and LSE — so the advice is checked against what actually worked for them, not just for me.

Every guide is short, specific and written the way I'd explain it to a friend — no filler, no motivational padding.
